Anybody can submit work that is relevant to Australia – but, as this is a website for the collection of Australian haiku, the work we are looking for will come out of an authentic experience of either living in or visiting Australia. Unfortunately, where we cannot verify an Australian connection, we cannot consider your submission.
You are invited to submit no more than five (5) of your original haiku, in the one submission, on the topic (topic indicated). Work should be original, unpublished (in print or online, in forums or blogs, Facebook pages and groups etc.) and not under consideration elsewhere.
Make only one submission, containing all the haiku you are submitting.
Include your name and country of residence. If you are not currently living in Australia, please explain your connection.
We accompany some haiku with images, at the discretion of the editors. If you do not wish to have your haiku accompanied by an image, please indicate this with your submission.
Thank you for your submission. You will receive further notification within 4 weeks if any of your submitted haiku have been selected for inclusion in Echidna Tracks.
If you haven’t heard from us by then, your haiku has not been selected on this occasion and you are free to send your haiku elsewhere.
Selected haiku will be posted on the website individually over the following months – so keep checking in to see when your work appears there.
